Easter at Citylight

What is Easter?

Join us as we gather in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord on Easter Sunday. While our sin separated us from God, Jesus came and lived a perfect life, dying in our place for our sin (we recognize this on Good Friday) and was raised from the grave, conquering death and securing our eternal hope.

What to expect on Easter Sunday?

We will sing songs of praise, hear a sermon from a passage of Scripture focused on the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, and celebrate communion together. The service will be about 70 minutes long and Citylight Kids is offered for kids from infants up to grade 5.

What is Good Friday?

Good Friday is the day when Christians around the world remember, in a special way, Jesus’s death on the cross. It’s called “good” Friday because what Jesus accomplished on the cross – the full forgiveness of sins by a holy God – is the best news possible for sinful people. Join us Friday March 29th at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.
